Today only the most sophisticated technology will properly identify currency since counterfeiters are using advanced methods to create excellent fake banknotes. The CT1000 DETECTOR PLUS uses a Smart chip card which is programmed to operate the system and check for the proper security features in each banknote. The display will indicate if a banknote deviates in any way from a standard banknote and the number and type of each note. This information is also available in voice mode. The DETECTOR PLUS contains a microprocessor that operates the control sensors detecting:

• The specialized aspects of the printing process
• Infra-red and optical security features
• Correct size of banknote
Sensors simultaneously check both the front and back of the banknote for the appropriate authenticating features. The entire checking process takes place inside the device in less than one second. The automatic feeder then deposits the scanned banknote out of the front or rear of the unit as required. Chip cards for the following currencies are presently available: USD, EURO, CAN, DEM, GBF, FRF, ITL, JPY,CHF,ATS, AUD and ESP. When the Treasury Department changes or updates currency the new features can be quickly and easily programmed into the unit from the Detector Plus website.
